In this week's blog, we'll feature the use of simple data visualization and iconography to convey important messages.
For about a year, and through the input of various creative people along the way, I've been hoping to generate some 'informational art'. The idea that gelled together was to create a newspaper cover concerning issues that will quietly but continuously ruin our future. The newspaper would be from the near-future, and would be meant to look like an artifact/found object that harked back to the 30's and 40's MovieTone newsreel issues, or broadsheets that paperboys would hawk in the streets.
So, I've launched The Ruined Star-Ledger as a separate blogspot. It will provide you with regular updates from a newspaper from the future. First issue out:
